Simple Joys of Summer

Giving thanks for a few simple joys of summer:

roses in bloom
potatoes ready to harvest
yard long beans
red ripe juicy tomatoes
butterflies sipping from mud puddles
bees diving into squash blossoms
unexpected rain showers
swimming
zinnias
sunflowers
icy herb tea
new to me titles and old favorites to read on a hot summer afternoon

You turned my wailing into dancing;
you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
that my heart may sing to you and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.  Psalm 30:11-12

  1. We have so much to be thankful for, sometimes we just need to slow down and look around at this glorious world we live in and thank our God for giving us each day. Thank you for your kind words about our SweetPea, she is missed be will always live in our hearts!
