J is for ...

Joy!

The gloom of the world is but a shadow. Behind it, yet within our reach, is joy. There is radiance and glory in the darkness, could we but see; and to see, we have only to look.  ~Fra. Giovanni

Look for JOY today.  Keep searching until you find it!

Just so you know I haven't abandoned my herb and flower theme ...

J is also for Jasmine, Jonquil, and Jack in the Pulpit!

And if you are curious as to why today's Alphabe-Thursday post is so short and sweet ... the sign posted by my front door these days:

To Whom It May Concern:
It is springtime.
I am in the garden.

Now if I could just figure out how to make a cute blog little button for that ...

p.s. Someone asked about online herbal information- Botanical.com  is my favorite source.
Someone else asked where I buy herbs-  I love

Mountain Rose Herbs. A Herbs, Health and Harmony C !

And now ... back to the garden, where I always find Joy!

  1. It's too early here for the garden but I can't wait until it gets planted. First thing we get to harvest are green beans. There's nothing like fresh out of the garden.

  5. Joy is the perfect choice for J! Isn't it funny what different things bring joy to different people. I love gardens, but I have a black thumb! I wouldn't want to harm those innocent, beautiful plants :) Glad you enjoyed the post, hope it got you "jazzed" to work in the garden today (sorry, couldn't resist) Kathy

  10. Thanks for sharing where you get more info on herbs. I love growing herbs, so I'll have to go check out both those places. I don't blame you for being in the garden. We had another snow this past week, but i'm hoping it's finally over. I want to get out there and do some garden clean up before Easter!
