Counting the gifts: 36-47
Seasons- glorious cool mornings that call me outdoors to meet Him in the day's first moments
Days- first day of our home learning year tomorrow...
Books- new to us books, beautiful words to feed hungry minds
Brave Souls- Middle daughter who courageously acted in her first skit in front of many watching eyes last night, something mom would not easily do!
Homes- This one is still a bit up in the air until tomorrow; but oh the possibilities that lie ahead...including a very different lifestyle as we will once again be city dwellers, and I will likely once again be a wahm. Pray with us about these changes, please?
Ministry- blessings and challenges abound-
a sponsor church and meeting place found.....two hurdles of many crossed...
worshipping with our sponsor congregation and feeling just a bit overwhelmed by the language barrier, as their native tongue is spanish, and ours is "texan"...a taste of what others face daily, and excellent eye (or ear) opener
kindness they've shown us by translating and offering to teach our stammering tongues to speak their language, so that we too can praise the Lord in their language!
So many changes...some I easily embrace, some my soul struggles with just a bit. I know they are from the Lord's Hand, so they are good, and I give thanks for the soul stretching that comes with the changes and challenges He brings to my days.
..."Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever;
wisdom and power are his.
He changes times and seasons;
he sets up kings and deposes them.
He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.
He reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what lies in darkness,
and light dwells with him. Daniel 2:20-22
Thank You Father, that it is You who changes the times and seasons, according to Your great wisdom. I thank You for revealing deep and hidden things when we seek Your face and call upon Your name. Thank you for your countless blessings, may I always have eyes that see Your goodness, even in the times of challenge and soul stretching!
